Norman Keith "Sailor Jerry" Collins (1911-1973) was a tattoo artist based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Considered the foremost American tattoo artist of his time, his reputation was for his exceptional craftsmanship, innovative designs, and the original techniques he developed. Sailor Jerry was the mentor of Don Ed Hardy and Mike Malone, and is widely credited as the originator of the American Traditional tattoo style.
